Galilea

Galilea is an old village on 400 meters above sea level. It has mostly cobblestone buildings grouped around the lazy main square with it’s church. There are no hotels. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed even in high season. From Palma you will reach Galilea within a 20 minutes drive passing the also very neat village of Puigpunyent. From there the road climbs up firmly. Distance to the sea side at Peguera is about the same.

The temperature is quite pleasant up here even in hot summers because of the cooling soft breeze on most days.

There are two bars / restaurants at the village square of Galilea who offer good quality for reasonable money. There is also an italian restaurant, whose Pizza has been praised enthusiastically by some guests. Though, for shopping you will have to go to Puigpunyent, which is 4 km away. Here you find a supermarket, a bakery and some more shops for your daily supply. And of course Palma is not far away. A beautiful city full of historic sites – and at the same time a modern and relaxed place with it’s harbour, the large marina and the university campus.
